When two musician brothers come together, it is not just their music that harmonises: it is a primal bond that gives rise to a unique, irreplicable power. Surprisingly, their paths had never crossed before. Matthieu, a cellist with a wide-ranging repertoire, moves between jazz and flamenco. Camille, a virtuoso singer, displays a striking voice, ranging from deep bass to the crystalline heights of the countertenor.

With Al Alba, their first album as a duo, the Saglio brothers seal an obvious, almost organic union. Their music is born on the fringes of worlds: between Eastern trance and jazz lyricism, as if Purcell were conversing with Africa, as if the Baroque were sung in Bambara. Their dialogue of strings and voices, intense and possessed, touches on something rare — a form of incandescence, akin to ritual, where music becomes incantation.
