""As a child, she was captivated by Ella Fitzgerald’s scat singing. In music, imitation is THE ideal teacher. At the age of 14, she cobbled together a vintage-style set-up behind her tube microphone and posted ‘Dedicated to you’, kicking off a series of jazzy music videos, each one more delightful than the last. Later, whilst I was searching for THE singer, I received a message from her: ‘Do I have a future in jazz?’
Ten original songs and a few covers later, I replied…

Daisy Marguerite, at the tender age of twenty, takes us on a journey to a golden age that points towards the future. Her voice, with its rare timbre, her natural groove, her scat like an arabesque that wraps itself around our very skin – never showy – allows us to experience grace.
