Emile Parisien & Vincent Peirani

Emile Parisien (saxophone) • Vincent Peirani (accordion)

Monday 26/07     ALPAGE DE LORIAZ

After paying tribute to musicians and composers of the Belle Époque, such as Sydney Bechet and Duke Ellington, to name but a few, Vincent Peirani and Émile Parisien set off to discover the Argentine tango.

From covers of traditional songs (Astor Piazzolla) to original creations (Gubitsch, Peirani, Parisien), including rereadings of themes such as Temptation by Xavier Cugat and even a melody by Jelly Roll Morton, these two exceptional musicians, who seem to be one and the same, so much so that the years spent together have magnified their collaboration, give us their interpretation of tango music with this new repertoire. This personal interpretation is rooted in the deepest traditions of this popular music and takes us and her to an unexplored place.
  Monday 26/07 - 12h

This old mountain pasture located at 2020m in the heart of the Aiguilles Rouges massif, offers an exceptional panorama of the famous Aiguille Verte and the Mont-Blanc massif. You will have to go there on foot, from Vallorcine or Le Buet. After about 2h30 of walking where varied fauna and flora will accompany you on the way, you will be able to quench your thirst and eat at the magnificent Refuge de Loriaz.
