LES MONTUIRES, EMOSSON
The concerts will be held at Les Montuires, at the end of the Verticalp Emosson funicular , a natural balcony with a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc massif and the Trient Valley.
Following a decision by the commune of Finhaut to encourage soft mobility on the access roads to the site in order to protect the environment, the road to the Emosson dam will be closed. The municipality is putting in place several solutions to access the Montuires: special shuttle buses (special rate €10, free for children under 6) from Chatelard-Frontière to get you as close as possible to the concert (+ 10 min walk), the Verticalp funicular (special rates), hiking routes from Chatelard...

The site and its accesses naturally limit the capacity for the public! We also invite you to check our page Facebook, where we will provide last-minute information if the facilities are full.
Access and transports
By car
The Finhaut-Les Montuires-Emosson road is closed to all motorised traffic in the uphill direction until 4pm. Please follow the signs in place and the instructions given by the staff on the day. Car pooling is strongly recommended.
Parkings :
- Châtelard-Frontière (VS) then on foot (2h-2h30)
- Châtelard-Frontière (VS) then by shuttle bus
- Châtelard-Frontière (VS) then on foot (15') to take the funicular railway VerticAlp Emosson
- Vallorcine station then Mont-Blanc Express to Châtelard-Frontière to walk up or take the shuttle bus, or to Châtelard-Village to take the funicular.
On foot
There are two possible itineraries:
Shuttle bus
- Shuttle buses run between Le Châtelard-Frontière (VS) and Corbes, then a 30' walk (120 m ascent) to Les Montuires
- These buses will run continuously from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Single fare: CHF/EURO 10.00/person (return ticket)
To speed up pick-up, please provide exact change for bus payment in euros or Swiss francs.
By train with Mont-Blanc Express (Chamonix-Martigny)
- Châtelard-Frontière (VS) stop, then shuttle bus or walk up the hill
- Stop Châtelard-Village (VS) then VerticAlp Emosson funicular
Online ticketing at www.cff.ch or at stations and ticket machines (Swiss side only)
VerticAlp Emosson
- Funicular linking Châtelard-Village (VS) and Les Montuires.
- Early opening: 08.00-18.45
- Single ticket price: CHF 15/person (return ticket). Tickets at Châtelard-Village (VS) from the funicular departure
